1. Information We Collect

When you use Price Context, we may collect the following information:

• Account information: Email address and authentication data provided through Clerk (our authentication provider).
• Usage data: Symbols analyzed, timeframes selected, scanner usage, and feature interactions — used to improve the Service.
• Journal entries: Trading journal notes, setup logs, and outcome records you voluntarily enter.
• Watchlists: Custom watchlist symbols you save.
• Alert subscriptions: Email addresses and webhook URLs you configure for alert delivery.
• Payment information: Billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number; Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service.
• To process your subscription and payments via Stripe.
• To send alert notifications you have configured.
• To improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns.
• To communicate important updates about the Service or your account.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — Authentication and user management. See Clerk's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — Payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) — Market data provider. We send symbol requests on your behalf; no personal data is shared.
• Sentry — Error tracking (if configured). May receive anonymized error reports.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only as described above with service providers necessary to operate the platform.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

The Service uses:

• Authentication cookies set by Clerk to maintain your session.
• Local storage in your browser to save preferences (watchlists, UI settings, last-viewed symbol).

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

6. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion request.
• Journal entries: Retained while your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion.
• Usage logs: Aggregated and anonymized after 90 days.

7. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting [email protected]. Account deletion through Clerk will automatically trigger removal of your subscription and journal data from our systems.

8. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and restricted database access. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Service.
